The Information and Technology Services Help Desk at Minnesota
State University, Mankato provides direct assistance and remote
assistance to your computer desktop.
To open a Help Desk Remote Assistance Session follow these steps
below.
- Click here to start
- Click Open

- If you are running Windows XP you will be prompted to
Run the file helprequest.vbs. Click on the Run
button.

- You may receive a Windows Security Alert if you are
running Windows XP. Click on Unblock.

- The Help Desk will now ask you for this five digit code
number.

- Your request is now complete please wait while the Help Desk
connects to your workstation.

After 5 Minutes if the ITS Help Desk does not connect;
your computer will automatically close the request and delete
the remote assistant program. To open a new request go back
to step 1 and repeat the procedure.
